I was please with the Professional standards at elite as they did save me 1.5 hours of work, however it was explained to me that in a maximum of 3 hours(which I was willing to pay for) as a diagnostic they could figure out what was wrong with my car and how to fix it, after paying for 1.5 hours of work $200 I was told it would take a indiscriminate amount of hours to find the problem and fix it, and up to $1000's of $$$ to just find out where they issue was never mind fix it. With all the technology elite has i don't understand why we could not find the electrical issue and where it was in the 3 hour allotted period of time, It's was a waste of money.
Hi Elizabeth- Let me respond to this you have a 2003 Volvo XC70 with an electrical problem that is much more involved than just simply hooking up our diagnostic machine and it spits out all the answers. another challenge is according to you it happens when its snowing, raining and humid out. Yes we did first ask for a 3 hour diagnoses to start with but once you authorized us to do so and once we started to dig in we found multiple codes stored in several modules, we also found that someone else has been in there and attempted to find this issue, when it comes to electrical issues there is no crystal ball or fancy machine to hook up and it just tells you what's wrong with the car. We did our best to give you proper answers in a reasonable amount of time. We also were smart enough to realize once we dug in the magnitude of the problem was going to be much more than the 3 hours you authorized us to use to figure out the problem so we backed off at an hour and a half to save you money without answers. a dishonest shop would have taken your money for the 3 hours and still would't have had the answers for you. We do our best to be fair, honest, fast and keep our quality high all at the same time. I'm sorry we couldn't have the answer for you in the time you wanted it but I assure you we did our best to help you. In the end you didn't spend $1000's to find out your car still wasn't repaired. We simply gave you professional advise based on our findings in a short period of time. I feel this car is going to cost you 1000's to repair no matter where you end up. Please be careful not to spend good money after bad Iv'e seen these scenarios happen often and at the end nobody wins and everyone has hard feelings about it. I am sorry once again and I wish you only the best in you pursuit to repair this problem painlessly as possible. If you need anything else from us please feel free to call me personally. My cell phone is always on my answering machine for you convenience. Jim Paiva
